From the Markets

We are so blessed in the pacific northwest, and particularly in Seattle proper to have amazing local produce year round and markets that are full of freshness, flavor and lots of personality.   The summer Market schedule has begun, and although my favorites remain the Ballard Market on Sunday and Pike Place Market Central any day of the week, there are many others that are noteworthy and fill in the remaining days of the week.   Farmer’s local produce really makes a difference in preparing everything from meals to smoothies and flower presentation. In the past I have  tried to hit up the markets at least twice a week, although I think I will be more dependent on my own back yard market at least for the summer.
